About Jacyntha England

Jacyntha England, a Literature and Drama Educator at ISS International School, will start off the session using tried and true examples from her own classroom. She has been teaching Drama and Literature for twenty years in schools and communities in Canada, Thailand, Tanzania, Kazakhstan and Singapore. She believes imagination lies at the core of any kind of successful teaching and learning, and has a passion for helping young people discover their own creative potential. Jacyntha is also an active writer, and has published her work in journals and anthologies in several countries. Singapore, and International School Singapore, have been her "homes away from home" for the past five years.

About Alvin Tan

Alvin has been working in the area of Speech and Drama for the past 6 years independently with schools.  He works with children from Primary 3 to 6 and also writes Drama Curriculum for schools and Enrichment Companies.  He also covers areas in Creative Writing, Poetry Appreciation, and teaching Literature through Drama to local Govt Pri And Sec Schools, and as well as International Schools. Alvin has also taught children with Special Needs especially those in the ASD Spectrum. He is trained in ABA which helps shape the behaviour of these children in  one-to-one early intervention. With this unique experience, Alvin finds it effective in applying ABA in mainstream setting as well.
