Michele Lim is one of the founding members of SDEA and has served on the committee as its Treasurer from 2002-2005. During this time, she was also in charge of Special Projects helped the committee out in major fund applications. Michele was SDEA President from 2009-2011 and during her term, she increased links and dialog between SDEA, NAC and MOE. She was also chair of SDEAs’ inaugural Theatre Arts Conference.
Michele’s involvement in arts education began in 1993 where she managed and developed TheatreWorks’ arts education and outreach programmes. Her interest and work in arts education extends beyond theatre into visual arts, craft, dance and music.
As an Arts Management Consultant, Michele helps arts organisations build up their capacities in areas like organisational management, programming, communications, business development, education and outreach. She also lectures part-time at LASALLE College of the Arts and Singapore Polytechnic.
