The SDEA committee decided that it was time to give its logo a little update. The previous logo served is well and the purple speech bubble has become somewhat of an icon for SDEA. However, we felt a need for a clear explanation as to what the 4 letters stood for.

There was much debate as to size of the font – singapore drama educators association. Half the committee went with the aesthetics of logo – with all text aligned neatly, the other half went with the need for ‘drama educators’ to stand out. This couldn’t work out well because of the number of letters. Since we couldn’t decide, we put it to a vote.
During our Twilight Picnic, we asked members, guests and family which they preferred. A resounding majority picked what we see today. There are two versions to this logo, one in a block and one that runs lengthwise.
We thank those who not only voted, but gave useful comments on how to use the logo better in terms of graphic design.
